Benchmark for success

Two more steps taken setting up the shed as a well-organised centre of operations:

  1. the design and construction of a tool storage area;

  2. the construction of a workbench made out of repurposed scrap wood salvaged on site (with the exception of the plywood benchtop).

Now we have well-organised and safely stored weeding and digging tools AND a workstation for building more benches and bird boxes… and more.

As ever, both constructions were made from materials salvaged on site, tidying the land at the same time as creating infrastructure that will help us be as productive as possible in our rewilding work - a win-win.

Many thanks to Jake and Ralph for designing and constructing the tool storage area - it’s a work of art.

And many thanks to Ralph, Jake, Jack and Tim for their remarkable efforts building the workbench in record time - awesome work.
