LAYING THE FOUNDATIONS OF FORKTREE

Forktree may be about revegetation, but there are certain things which need to be done first, which form the foundations on which this project will be built.

One of these is the completion of the enormous shed already on the property. It may not look glamorous, but this shed is a vital component of the foundations of this project. It will provide storage, and its huge roof will allow us to harvest rainwater to keep the saplings alive throughout the harsh South Australian summer.

So the first major task has been laying a solid floor inside the shed. Another great use for the aggregate made from the rubble. Great to see some of the building waste being put to use.

Before: a bare earth floor that would become waterlogged as soon as the winter rains start.
