Camping canvas

This month we are a step closer to being able to welcome groups to spend longer at The Forktree Project, due to the preparation of camping areas.

A couple of months ago suitable camping spots were chosen and levelled, and were then direct seeded with native grass seed. Borders of hundreds of native shrubs, grasses and ground cover were planted between and around the pads, which will in time create screening between the pads.

Fast forward a few weeks and throw in a healthy dose of autumn rains, and there are now signs of the grass seed germinating. We are thrilled to see the camping areas taking shape and look forward to making use of them soon.
