CREATING A CANVAS

One of the goals of the Forktree Project is to turn a tattered and overgrown netted area into a functioning seed nursery to grow saplings for local bushfire-affected areas.

The first step involved the clearing of serious weeds and undergrowth from the area and the scraping of the surface to create a level pad. Very exciting: we now have a blank canvas on which we can establish our seed nursery.

Planning and designing is underway - watch this space to follow the step-by-step development of what we hope will be a significant contribution to the revegetation of the area.
