NEST BUILDING

Today the first nesting box was installed in one of the few mature pink gums on the property. Made from hollow logs so as to emulate as closely as possible the natural hollows favoured by rosellas, yellow-tailed black cockatoos and other species, these nesting boxes will hopefully play a role in encouraging biodiversity at Forktree.

Already a key contributor to the Forktree Project through his stunning camerawork, Miles Rowland revealed another string to his bow today in the form of accomplished tree ascending complete with jumar, prusiks and a cheery smile to get the nesting box in position. Brilliant.

The remaining nesting boxes will be installed next week. Then we watch and wait.
