Three men and a bobcat

At the risk of sounding obsessed with rubble and bricks, here’s another post about progress in the rubble pile.

This will be of particular interest to anyone who has got stuck into sorting reusable bricks from the rubble pile and collecting rubble for use in gabion walls etc - students from all the schools who have visited so far as well as many of our hardiest volunteer regulars.

Clearance of the pile took a huge leap forward yesterday with a super-human effort on the part of Roy, Tim and Simon in his Bobcat. In the course of the day they salvaged more than a thousand good bricks, with the remaining rubble (wood, plastic and metal all removed for recycling) gathered for use as track base in the seed orchard. And in the process more and more land is being cleared ready for planting.

Three men and a Bobcat. And a whole lot of determination. Thank you.
