Technology for Sustainability

A big thanks to SA Water and Fleet Space for installing a LoRaWAN gateway at Forktree as part of SA Water’s ongoing support of our work.

The LoRaWAN (Long Range Wireless Access Network) will allow our reticulation systems to communicate wirelessly with our soil moisture and temperature probes to better plan the irrigation of our rare species to optimise their growth. Great to have the technology being used both to optimise water use and to guarantee native species health - a sustainability win-win.
