SOIL TESTING

Phase 2 of getting the nursery up and running: testing the pH of the soil inside the netted area to determine its health and to see how well things will grow in there.

Result: pH 6.5 - in other words, slightly acidic - and a bit clayey, which means with perhaps a bit of lime for the acidity and a sprinkle of gypsum (to counteract the stickiness of the clay) it will be perfect for growing trees and plants. Watch this space.
