repelling invaders

The plentiful spring rain that we have had recently has been wonderful for the saplings, but it has also been great for the weeds, including thistles, mustard seed, dog hound, cape weed, wire weed, to name just a few.

So our current challenge is repelling these invaders - not only do they not belong, they are also unwelcome competition for our native saplings.

First step is mowing these monsters down; second is digging out the roots to minimise the chances of them coming back.

Let battle commence…
