Potential

How beautiful is this Melaleuca lanceolata (tea tree) seed? And how amazing to consider the promise it holds: each tiny seed (the dust-like particles in the photo) has the potential to grow into a magnificent tree like the 250+ year-old elder statesman in the second photo - the only pre-clearance remnant Melaleuca lanceolata on site, and a source of inspiration for the Forktree team.

So we get to work: harvesting seed, cleaning and sorting it, propagating and growing new lanceolata saplings, and getting them in the ground as part of our habitat restoration work.

What potential for an incredible journey - from little things big things really do grow.
