Old planks given new life

A challenge that we have set ourselves at The Forktree Project is to find new uses for the various scrap materials and discarded items found on site - not just bricks and rubble, but other materials too.

Forktree volunteer extraordinaire Ralph is putting his carpentry skills to use making benches for visitors out of planks salvaged from the large burn pile accumulated on site by the previous owner.

Immensely satisfying, as ever, to find a new use for materials rather than dispose of them.
