THE TEAM

Tim Jarvis AM who leads the project is an environmental scientist, author, film maker, adventurer and public speaker with Masters degrees in environmental science and environmental law. He is committed to finding pragmatic solutions to major environmental issues related to climate change and biodiversity loss. He was conferred a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for services to environment, community and exploration in the 2010 Australian honours list, and Conservationist of the Year in 2016 (Australian Geographic Society), and is Global Ambassador to international sustainability NGO WWF.


Elizabeth Blumer brings a range of experience to The Forktree Project including teaching, educational wellbeing governance, writing and editing, and is excited by the project’s educational and wellbeing potential. It goes without saying that she is an enthusiastic tree planter.


Cinematographer Miles Rowland’s stunning camerawork graces this website. His images and moving footage camerawork play a vital role in the documenting of the Forktree Project story. 


Advisory Board

Mark Koolmatrie is a Tribal elder of the Tribes of southern South Australia which includes the Warki, Ramindjeri, Yaralde, Tangani, Meintangk and Ngarrindjeri peoples. He is passionate about preserving culture and working in oneness with all peoples, animals, birds, fish and marine life and all plants and their environments. He has a desire to contribute to numerous initiatives that will broaden knowledge of sustainability and ongoing connections to country and self.


Professor Chris Daniels PhD DSc FAICD is Chief Executive Officer of the International Koala Centre of Excellence (operated by the Department for Environment and Water) and chief strategic adviser to Cleland Wildlife Park (Department for Environment and Water, SA Government). He is also Adjunct Professor of Biology in the School of Pharmacy & Medical Sciences at UniSA and Adjunct Professor of Zoology at Adelaide University. In July 2020 he was appointed Presiding Member of the “Green Adelaide” Landscape Board for the SA Government. He is also involved in many other environmental leadership activities focused on conserving wildlife and connecting people with nature.
