SYSTEMS Thinking at The forktree project
Another fantastic team day at The Forktree Project, this time with Systems Engineers Shoal Group.
The Shoal@Forktree corporate day was a rewarding blend of habitat restoration and participation in a stimulating systems-thinking workshop, during which sophisticated systems-thinking strategies were applied to a hypothetical challenge based on the water cycle, followed by a far-reaching discussion of a systems approach to navigating the many challenges of running a complex rewilding project like Forktree. A huge thank you to Tom Jacquier from Shoal Group for organising and running the workshop.
Hundreds of native trees and shrubs in the ground, a satisfyingly large pile of invasive species (a.k.a. weeds) removed, and some of the best systems-thinking minds grappling with the complex and multifarious variables of this project. Exercise for the body and the mind while protecting nature - it doesn’t get much better than that!
