From big things little things grow
Fantastic to see new growth coming from one of our transplanted yaccas (grass trees).
Xanthorrhoea semiplana are notoriously difficult to transplant, and we had to move this one and 13 other 100-year-old specimens 8 months ago to stop them being destroyed as part of a council road widening project.
Amazingly, most are alive and seem to be recovering. The resilience of nature is as incredible as the original crazy decision to bulldoze them.
