Forktree @ The Festival of Nature

A great morning was had this week at our Forktree Tour and Propagating Workshop as part of the Festival of Nature.

The session started with an introduction to the project, followed by a tour of the property, including the rare seed orchard, the hillsides and gullies with their many young saplings in their tree guards, the two remaining stands of a handful of mature pink gums which serve as our inspiration, and the nursery, where some quality propagating and potting on took place.

Many thanks to the fantastic team of propagators who attended! Great discussion of the story of the project so far, its aims, the bigger picture of climate change and the biodiversity crisis, and so much more; loads achieved in the nursery; and lots of fun and laughter thrown in for good measure.
