Role Models in the Field

As we wrap up the school term and say farewell to our final student group for the year, it feels like the right moment to acknowledge two people who play significant roles in making our education program what it is. Our regular volunteers, Ralph and Suzanne, contribute so much — not only through the time and energy they give to Forktree, but through the generosity with which they share their own stories with visiting students.

Both speak openly about the wellbeing benefits of purposeful engagement in nature. For young people to hear adults describe volunteering as something that supports the planet and supports their own sense of connection and wellbeing is incredibly powerful.

Thank you, Suzanne and Ralph — and to all the volunteers who help with our education program. Your example is shaping the next generation of environmental stewards, and we’re deeply grateful.
